Modern Worship

That Hitler was ahead of his time, wasn’t he? A visionary, I tell you: he stood before the thronged masses who faced him, enraptured, each with a single arm thrust forward in straight salute. At the time this was an unprecedented sight but, today, it would be considered nothing out of the ordinary. Indeed, were you to show modern children an image of the mass Nazi salutes at the Nuremberg Rallies, they would think nothing of it – at least, not until the more eagle-eyed of them enquired: “Where are their phones?”

Have you been to a concert recently? Don’t bother – unless, that is, you are an avid fan of mobile technology – because all you’re going to see is iDiots™ holding their “smart” phones aloft to film the “live experience” whilst completely failing to enjoy the experience live themselves. Which rather negates the entire point of being there, you’d think.

Armpit fetishists, meanwhile, are having the time of their lives…

About Fles

Early middle-aged (oh yes I am!), no longer long-haired but still speccy and decidedly still an increasingly opinionated git. I’m basically a believer in individualism, that everybody has their own perspective and inner-beauty. I try to find humour in every situation. I enjoy reading and writing poetry.
